2004 Impreza STi WR1 - no.178 - robcole

Postby robcole23 » Tue Sep 08, 2009 8:46 pm

hello all, been giving the garage a bit of a tidy up and as the weather has been so nice i thought it would be a shame not to give the one, and what keeps it company a damn good seeing to. Also recently the one went on APT's dyno and i was very happy with 291 bhp it produced. (it is standard ...for now) Befor anyone mentions it,,, no the tank isnt mine and no it dose not live in my garage.....

Nice pics, get the cover off the tank and get arty farty with the 1 and the M24 Chaffee ( I might be wrong??) That would make a nice and unusual pic.

They are 315 standard so i would NOT be happy with 291!

surely after 5 years and xxx amount of miles you would expect to loose some power. Just needs re-mapped to get the horses flowing again

the only thing that was found to be a concern at the time was the air filter needed changing which has now been done, every thing was exactly as it should be for a totaly standard wr1. i think people forget that if you had 10 runs on ten different dynos you would have 10 different results.

thanks for the comments people, i have just collected a set of defi link meter (not BF)gauges for the old girl, i got boost, oil temp, oil press, water temp, revs and the control unit for a very good price so i am now just waiting for the center pod to fit them. i am thinking of only using boost, oil temp and oil press and not bothering to fit a piler pod ??? what do you guys think?? i was going to try and keep it as standard looking as posible and am a bit worried that with all 5 gauges, it my be a bit to much......

yeah not a fan of the pillar pods either...and bit OTT if you ask me - probably look like the inside of that tank you have there!

I would do as you plan and stick with the 3 gauges in the pod...

those look fricking awesome!

How about getting a single DIN stereo..and a carbon fibre blanking plate for the other half..

then mounting the other dials in that...would they fit?
