Yep finally took the plunge...after two and a half years of WR1 ownership I have traded her in. Sad to see her go as she was an excellent car, the best I've owned to date by far. It was still putting a smile on my face the day I took it up to Harrogate.
But it was time to move on, so I am now the very proud owner of a 57 plate facelifted M5 in Carbon Black with champagne extended merino leather that has only covered 10K miles.
It has a few other optional extras such as a piano black dash trim and a Prologic sound system, M Multi functional front seats but most of what you need is standard on the M5, gadgets galore just brilliant
A very happy boy I can tell you
Oh and it goes like sh1t of a fecking shovel
Pics to follow when I get a decent days weather......

Good choice Presa. Pics please.
Maybe you could do a Bigman pose next to your car, maybe holding a bunch of flowers for the wife?

Are BMW's much more to run annually than Subaru's?

Bigman is probably the best man to answer that, but from what I can see from the M5's perspective it is going to cost more in fuel based on the fact I haven't averaged more than 15 mpg, although on a long distance motorway run i did get it up to 19 mpg.....
Servicing is about every 2 years or 18K miles, as it has a conditional indicator so it depends on how you drive it. I expect the costs to be a lot higher when it is actually serviced.
Tyres are the other high cost with 285 35 19 run flats they're going to be at least £250 a corner
As I have said above insurance is pretty much the same as the scoob.
So based on the above I am expecting it to cost more to run than the scoob but I wouldn't think it's going to be a massive difference.
