Why do you always choose the worst colour available? :thumb:

No its 310NM of torque not lb ft... that translates to 228lb ft torque... :)

Take the Focus ST for example (waits for the flak)... it has 320NM out of the box but once tuned up a bit like mine goes up to 500NM of torque which translates to 370lb ft of torque... now thats a torquey car .

Still a very nice car though - are they around the 19-20k mark?

under 9 mins round the ring is crazyness :)

Not quite that much JP - which in a FWD car is probably a good thing!!

Its still 230/230, as my current R26, but its the weight reduction, some 125kgs that makes the difference.

Mega/Dan - Cheers for pointing out the Torque :thumb: . Still in terms of weight it's not too bad.

How tunable are these cars??

Poesy - what insurance group is it?

Poesy - "car" Magazine has a 1 page report on this this month as you may have already seen, and they rate it well. just short of 23k + 3k for the colour/exhaust/tyres. I hope you are planning lots of trackdays :thumb:

Poesy , how come you wouldnt remap it ??

the R26 becomes a totally different animal after the remap and gets a an extra 2 mpg after.. the additional 30 bhp makes a huge difference.. It doesnt sound alot but change surprised me.

Just not my thing tbh fella.

I like my cars the way they leave the factory and renault spent a lot of time testing and developing the car around the 'ring with good results.

Plus I seem to prefer track sessions to dragg races so i'm more interested in its braking and cornering abilities - not so bothered about the straight bits.

Many of the guys on meganesport have the remaps and love them and fair play. However most of their cars tend to not to find there way onto various tracks, whereas I cant help myself, and that's where you really put wear and tear on your car.

I'd never say never but for warranty piece of mind - I need the car for work everyday too - and future resale, it makes sense to leave it alone.

Well, it looks like I have sold my megane today - collection this weekend.

So that means beginning and borrowing the misses car until my new one arrives.

Seems its getting a good write up in the press :D but it's been delayed until March
