Help with value and pricing

Postby richayl » Thu Feb 07, 2008 8:33 pm

Hi everybody,

We are owners of no 467. Standard with no mods, just under 40,000 miles on the clock but in absolute mint condition in and out. We are putting the car up for sale and have had a few not wonderful offers but don't want to be unrealistic with our figures, please help ... :?: .

I was offered £16K trade in, started at £15K, then reckoned a trader phoned them as he had a buyer, mind you I have 15 months extended warranty left which may have helped with sale.
mines 23K miles.

rob, 23k is much more favourable miles, I think a good WR1 is worth good money though, there is big variations in the quality of cars on the market, I mean there are cars on this forum that will be worth 20k, and others here worth under 14k.

And yes Bro, I think yours is worth the most

Modded cars are worth less... Not a problem, I've still got plans for mine for at least the next 5 years.

I wouldnt necessarily say yours was worth less mate, I actually feel that yours is worth more, since we all know its been modded properly ?!

Well said Bigman. The point being I think, is that IF you know who's done it and for whom, then the modding shouldn't hold back it's value.
Mine was done for "bob" by Tiley's and Engine Tuner. It hasn't been hammered but has it's moments of workout as any performance car should.
Bob, having had 5 scoobies before the One, knew exactly what to do for careful yet effective mods. I'd like to think that I would get a good price for it despite having 31K on the clock now, should I ever sell it.

Large supply + Limited demand = Low price

There aint a shortage of Imprezas in the world folks !!

Personnally I wouldnt buy a modified car myself, but many people do. I guess it just comes down to the individual buyer at the end of the day.

I recon youll get 14k as a trade in, maybe 15k if you sell it private.
