Hi All,

357 signing in. Car is standard with STi gauge pack, no WR1 decals, 14,800 miles when I collected it. No immediate plans for mods, but I'm sure it won't take too long!!

Cheers

Greg :)

Not sure yet, I'm going to get in touch with the former owner and find out. Also, there is no strut brace fitted - I thought this was standard on STi - perhaps someone can confirm?

I'll put some pics up of the car when I get the chance, gauges are actually the Lamco ones but sold (and priced!) as STi.

Cheers

Seems unusual to not have the decals, unless it's been repainted in which case you might want to know why, or perhaps the previous owner just didnt like them, slightly odd!

look forward to seeing some pics when you get a chance!

IIRC the car didnt come with a strut brace as standard...

Welcome GregK

Dont be too worried about the decals they do fade and at £20 for the pair some peeps don't bother with them. Or they've had the front end respayed maybe due to stonechips etc !

Thanks All, much appreciated especially the decal part nos!

Yes, the car was at SGT, took her for a test toast and put a deposit down there and then :) The car was supplied by SGT new to the first owner, who apparently traded it in for an RB320.

Not too impressed with SGT though, the car had 14,800 miles on it, full service history based on time expired, only just had a major service plus the Subaru Proven pre-delivery inspection. I picked the car up on a Friday and did a full check round first thing on Sat morning and found a few issues.....

Tyre pressures were around the 25psi mark all round - they have lost no air since I pumped them up so they obviously hadn't been checked..

Oil level was above the "hot" oil level with the car cold.....

Coolant level was not visible in the reservoir; on opening the rad cap I could see around 2" down to the water level...

Brakes have intermittent squeaks so I'll need to service them and make sure there's a layer of copper grease on the pad backs etc...

Doesn't inspire confidence!!!

I purshased an Elise from them a couple of years back for a weekend toy, did a 1,000 miles in the first year (no track days) and when i had it serviced with them they said it needed new pads all round! Clearly sold the car without either a) cheking the pads or b) selling it when they knew it needed new pads - don't know which is worse really!

Sounds very familiar, Jimjam. Can I ask what you did then?

They agreed to go halves, i believe they should have paid for all as a goodwill gesture but got to the stage where I couldn't be bothered to argue anymore......also from memory they were telling me that the pads were almost completely worn, so it wasn't a case they were 75% gone and that maybe when they sold the car they were borderline passable.
