No. 248

I got my WR1 in July 2004 and have currently clocked just over 6,000 miles.

Apart from drivers offside wheel leaking bearing greese, I've not had any other mechanical problems. This took several trips to the dealership to totally cure.

Had to replace one driving light and front windscreen due to random flying objects wanting to destroy my car :(

I've replaced the car stereo head unit and front speakers/tweeters. Front doors have been soundproofed also. Thinking of adding an Amp and Sub to complete the setup.

Not interesting in heavily modding the car but thinking about fitting front/rear strut brace and new dampers.
Also will change the tyre's to F1 Eagles. Not impressed with the Pirelli's at all. They shift around too much before settling down and are poor in damp/cold conditions.

I agree with you on the Pirelli's. They'll be coming off my car in the near future.

Welcome to the site M8.

I have changed the speakers and head unit as well, i fitted a single din Alpine unit with amp and sub, but did not sound proof the doors, I will be doing this early this year. Mind you, I still drive with the window down and listen to the afterburner vortex music coming from the rear :D :D

Welcome to the Site, i have also had a new windscreen installed,

The trim at the top is now falling off :(

Sound proofing sounds a good idea, what did you use ?

As i would like to add a bit of refinement :)

There was a company advertising the sound proofing kits in the back of the last issue of True Grip, the SIDC magazine. If you would like i can have a look for the details.

My windscreen was replaced through the insurance company and RAC Windscreens. There's a tiny section at the top that doesn't fit flush to the bodwork. I'm sure it's ok but it kind of bothers me. I should really phone them up and ask them to check it as it did cost
