Hi from #429

Postby marky-b » Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:25 am

Hi all,
Just thought I would say hi. Picked up 429 on Wednesday morning and have been grinning ever since. I thought my wrx was fun but the WR1 is far better than I expected.
I would like to say a big thanks to Matty the muffin man, and his superb muffins on offer, when I first looked at the car. To be honest, I think it was the muffins the closed the deal. :D
The car is a credit to Matty, and the hours he must have spent cleaning and polishing it.
I have owned a lot of cars, but I have to say, this is by far the best.
I will try and get some pics up as soon as I can, but a bit busy at work at the mo. Spent all of my tea break today, just cleaning the glass.

Cheers,
Mark

Yea he done well to get it looking so nice after the accident, you should look on the site for the before and after pics, when it was towed away on the back of that trailer it certainly looked like another One had bitten the dust!

Only kidding!!!!     Sounds like you have got a nice well looked after 1 (apart from some muffin crumbs down the back of the seats  )

I like the idea of the Lime Kilns Steve, maybe one eve next week?. I've never been in that pub, so would be a first for me. Maybe Carl can pop over aswell? be like a mini meet

Matty, went round to Roger Clarke Motorsport today, to book it in for it's 6 month service. Ollie came out and had a quick look round the car, he said it looked like a well loved car, so a credit to you for looking after it so well

I thought I had bought something a bit more exclusive, but there was another 1 in the car park and another 2 in the workshop
One in the shop had a massive front intercooler and the one in the car park was from Preston, I think.
Anyway, it's back to RCM next week for an oil change.
