Hi Foley

Did you get an answer to that post regarding the "clonk" sound upon moving off under slow speed

Dont think its the shocks , could it be the diff taking up the slack ?

Have not heard a more annoying sound in yrs!!

Regards

Postby Raywr1 » Fri Apr 02, 2010 11:53 pm

Hello mate hoping your enjoing the car looks amazing, ive only had about 2 weeks and still cant stop smiling. I occasionally get that clonk too. A mate of mine thats had an 04 plate prodrive heard it and said his did the same and it was shocks. Mine does it when you pull away from a stop and it sounds more like the diff of something on the drive side of things but he reckons its not. Hope this helps ya mate. Enjoy the car Ray :D

Ray, I took it to www.xtreme-uk.net where I bought it from as have a 6 month warranty, they specialise in Evos mainly and thought it maybe after market pads rocking slightly in the callipers. I think it sounds more involved than that .
Was thinking of going to scooby clinic or the like, to get a second opinion as have heard some subaru dealers can be a little inconclusive, according to previous posts on here regarding this noise.
Have noticed it more often around town through the gears not just when pulling away from stationary.

Cheers

Simon

Ian re-furbed wheels

Postby Raywr1 » Sun Apr 04, 2010 8:23 pm

Hi Ian how are you. Yeah i would be interested in the wheels you have for the WR1, how much are you looking for. The ones on it have a few marks as you probably know so im toying with having them done when i fit new tyres. Your only in Milton Keynes so that would probably be easier than blocking one of my lifts for a week while i wait for the current ones to be done. If you wanna call me and have a chat about it the easiest number is 01525 374174 and ask for me make sure you say its about the impreza or the office staff will not put you through as i get about a million calls a day and half of them are telesales muppets wasting my time with cheap gas or phones lol. Many thanks Ray.

Ps. Benj hope they get to the bottom of your problem mate, where abouts are you? If your close to Bedfordshire and you wanna put the car on a lift to have a look call me on the same number and you can pop it to mine and have a quick look underneath if you want mate.
