Number 177 Now resides in Dundee

Postby V669 » Fri Jan 01, 2010 7:47 pm

Good evening and a happy new year, picked up 177 before xmas and very impressed with her, moved from classic version 6 which was set up fairly hard (cusco springs) 310bhp.WR1 feels like the wifes 330ci but ever so slightly quicker and it is a LOT of fun in the recent snow up here :D

Welcome to the forum pal.... but  in what respect are you talking about?

I had a 330 clubsport and the WR1 feels nothing like the 330CS!! Firstly it has some power (330cs just gets louder when you floor it) and secondly the RWD Beemer was a slag in the wet or snow, my M3 was just a more powerful version of the 330CS, still as unpredictable in the wet/snow  WR1 is a totally different car in terms of handling etc...

Hi John, the point i was making although not very well was that after driving my classic and getting into the WR1 the ride quality is a tenfold improvement and i likened the ride to the wifes car as i find my head does not hit the roof on every bump around the towns streets. :)

Welcome to the club new owner of 177, hope you won't be eating any Dundee Pes in your new motor
The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.
