hello every1,

does any1 have any insight of wr1 no:128?

iv got a friend whos been offered it, its only done 11k they want £15650 for it (which i think is a hell of a deal!) its had 3 services but my concern is that there was a gap from 07/2005 to 08/2008 yes 3years without a service, the dealership has said he"l give it a service before handin the keys over.

is it just me being over concerned for a friend or do you think somethings not right?

thanks for your help

overpriced if you ask me. id look at somthing like this, a few more miles at 36k but a one owner car, fsh, 8 months MOT 5 months tax, and 2850 quid cheaper at £12,800 but maybe thats just me.

Even if it hasn't been driven you'd still want to change the fluids at regular intervals as they will degrade over time, not just mileage used. Getting them checked over, even if the car doesn't have official stamps, there should still be receipts for any checks or fluid changes made.

11k is low mileage and you wouldn't be getting through the services in the logbook unless you went by date. I stamp the logbook by mileage (every 5k) in mine personally but I've just had an interim oil change and fluid checks/changes as I've only done 1200 miles since the last service but that was nearly a year ago, I didn't get the book stamped but I've got the receipts for the work done. I'll get the next stamp in 3800ish miles.

If I were you, I'd have a full check over on the car. It's worth what you are willing to pay
[Just incase this gets lost in translation, I am not slandering you, I know people can be sensitive to these harsh words.]

Provided the milage was genuine, don't really see what the fuss is about, dealer is servicing it and ask for 12 months comprehensive warranty

128

I bought 128 on 30th Jan 2010 from Brian Downie car sales in Kemnay near Aberdeen. He has a little garage specialising in Subarus, Evos and the like. I've only dealt with him the once over this car but he seems like a genuine bloke. Does anyone know him? He showed me some serious projects he was working on including a 500+bhp Hawkeye and a 500+bhp engine from a Skyline.

The WR1 had 11k miles on the clock when I bought it and it is in really nice condition. As others have noted it did have some gaps in the service history but I have had it inspected by an engineer and done the usual checks and all seems to stack up. The car is totally unmarked inside and has a new set of wheels and tyres in Anthracite. Apart from that, a dump valve and a clarion stereo it is unmodified. I paid £15.2k for it which is not cheap but I didn't want cheap I wanted a great car!
