number 178 is now all mine

Postby robcole23 » Sun May 03, 2009 9:58 am

hello all, after a lot of thought, i took the plunge and decided to open my wallet and get 178 bought. The car has covered 43 thousand miles and seems to be in very very good condition. with the only modifications being dark tint windows and ebc rear brakes. it has full survice history and on test drive felt like new. it did however have a few small problems one being the " rear diff temp" light flashed up on the dash and it did seem to have a small boost surge on full boost, however im not too worried as the subaru dealer i am buying it from is going to investigate and sort anything that needs sorting. i think i am getting a very good deal from the dealer in question and they are also giving full dealer back up warranty for the next year so what more could i ask. as of the 1st of next month 178 will be all mine and from then on will be in good hands. thanks for all the replys on my other thread and i will try to post some photos up as soon as i can get some

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the forum :D

P.S. Those front tints look illegal, so I would get them sorted before the coppers pull you over.

hello everyone i got to have my first real drive of 178 on friday. i have got to say i am totaly over the moon with it. i was expecting it to be good but i wasnt expecting to be so addicted in such a short space of time. i am shocked how nice it is to drive at low speeds and when you get your toe down how well it pulls in ever gear, my other car is similar power if not a bit more and its drives nothing like the 1 dose. anyway here are a few photos for you, and you may even notice my first addition to the car......

Hmmm Are my eyes deceiving me or have you put on new WR1 decals? It's not clear in the later pics but they look the wrong way round?

yeah, the swoosh bit on booth sides should point to the front shouldn't they? If not then mine are wrong!

also the electric mirrors are non-standard too.

you guys realy are eagle eyed!!!!! my first addition was the number plate.. and im realy happy with the way it looks on the car but, would have been nicer to have w12 one but i guess what i got was close? the mirrors are the standard folding items i just forgot to fold them back out. and top marks for spotting the wind decals ...... when i bought the car from my local dealer i asked for the decals to be replaced because the old ones were faded. so they replaced them and obviously didnt realise that they are handed, but i have now ordered some more from subaru and will swop them over asap.
