in my opinion the price is to high, you need to look at the prices in autotrader as dealers are selling them cheaper and with less mileage and with less owners.

just my opinion

I agree with the above, I sold mine 18 months ago mint one owner with a third of the miles for only £2000 more and that was when times were much better and before the road tax hike.
Ant,

Had an my99 uk classic,

Then got P1 (0329),

Then got a brand new WR1 (092),

Then got a my00 UK Classic,

Then got another P1 (0488), Now Sold.

Gents,
Whilst I appreciate that you're entitled to your opinions on the price of my car, I do feel that to voice them in this thread is a little bit out of order. Don't get me wrong, freedom of speech is fine but sometimes it's just plain rude. After all, my car is worth ever I can sell it for and not what you as an individual would pay for it. Hell, if the value of cars was based on what you guys think is VFM I'd be out of a job!

Did'nt want to upset your thread was just trying to be helpful.

These are the prices on autotrader at the moment it may help.

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... ns=&page=2

Also wr1's dont have any sort of manufactures warrenty left unless they are extended so it would be better suited for a private buyer to by from a trader as you get between 3 - 6 months warrenty as standard although its probably not worth the paper its printed on.

In this current climate you have to try and be competetive other wise your car will just sit around gather dust/ depreciate.

ps im not a trader.

Public forum - people make comments. Get used to it as you WILL NOT be able to stop it... Besides, I don't think you should be able to stop it either.

For a reasonable fee the moderators will control your post closely. Otherwise, put up or shut up!

I'm all for reedom of speech, hence why i haven't asked for the thread to be moderated. If people think the car is over priced they are entitled too and also to voice that opinion. I'm well aware of the price of cars on autotader and have a detailed knowledge of the motor industry and pricing, thanks for the help though dark one. If the car sells it sells, if it doesn't, then i simply have th epleasure of driving it to work for longer. Had i priced it at 5k where i know i'd sell it fifty times oves id have been jumped on for contributing to wrecked residuals. The fine point of satisfying everyone VFM expectation is difficult to achieve i know. However, I hope you appreciate i'm am also entitled to my opinion that i think it's rude to make such a comment on a forsale thread and the coaching/constructive feedback i'd like to offer to the dark one is that if he genuinly wants to help people then a quick pm would be a far more appropriate means of communication and enable him to achieve his goals of not upsetting peoples threads.

Just out of interest, on another forum I use... more discussion happens within PMs and strangely this causes tension too as people think something sly is going on behinds their backs. I really struggle to understand this sort of forum insecurity. You are right, you can't please everyone. Having listened and understood your points I will clean up this thread. Finally, I personally don't think any harm was meant.

Well said.

Some people talk total bull when it comes to the value of a car sometimes, it's worth what someone will pay for it!

I sold my Leon Cupra R for a grand more than i paid for it, and that was 2.5 years after buying it!
Going round corners just got a whole lot faster...

If anyone's WR1 is worth 29,995GBP, it would have to be Clarke's... Probably in better condition than the day it left the showroom!!! :)
