thats my old car, its had work by wallace performance in the bridge of don.
full stainless brand new! (it kept the cats so it is ok for mot) tein coilovers, brand new, and has ecutech software licence on the ecu so remapping should be cheap. it has a panel filter too so dont chuck it. i maintained it regardless of cost. have fun! G BALDWIN

Gareth How do you rate WP after them working on your 1, and what about prices if you dont mind me asking? The WR1 be safe in the knowledge that, short of strapping yourself to an Acme rocket, there's no quicker way to get from A to B.
Re: new home for 85
Welcome Before you start modding it, I'd see how much it costs you to keep running it!! Are you using it daily or as a weekend car? Some people have stated that it costs them upwards of £400-600/mth JUST to maintain!! Unless you are minted I'd run it for a few months and get an idea of how much it costs you to replace things like tyres, brakes, discs and services (every 5k)... If it is just a "toy" then go for it.... if you read through the tech section on here, you'll see what people have achieved in terms of mods!! I think your budget is the limit tbh!! Best of luck, it is a cracking machine, and don't trust anyone who tells you that an M5 is faster....
keep it in fuel when you are running it every day can be a bit of a greedy bit*h but a satisfying one Gracing the drive.....BMW M3 E92 with all the toys!/Integra DC5/ Integra DC2 race car/BMW X5

72000 miles on that one, but dosnt feel like it. it had all the stone chips expected though. the guy who had it before me used to live on isle of lewis, he regularly drove it down to glasgow so you can imagine how the miles clocked up! i can honestly say its a better car than it was when i first bought it.
wallace performance are great as far as i am concerned, the guy i dealt with was Russell, he does their remap work and really knows his stuff. he could have easily charged me for the licence which is 500 notes, but he was honest and the remap cost me under £100. and what a difference!! i would recomend them to anyone G BALDWIN
its good to hear that there are so many with high miles, there was one i think with 120k for sale with the original engine.
mine has done 57k so hopefully a fair bit of life in her yet i am thinking about tinkering with it a bit for some more power, Gracing the drive.....BMW M3 E92 with all the toys!/Integra DC5/ Integra DC2 race car/BMW X5

hi all thanks for the welcome i have had a few sti"s but when i got this one i thought it was a bit quick did not no that it had been tiinkerd with already anyway i think the first thing im going to do is put some new discs & pads all round
looking forward to meeting up with some of you nutters [/img]
the car is not running much more bhp than a standard wr1, the wr1 is a very quick car, it needs servicing every 5k so i didnt want to make it too much quicker as the cost of servicing would have risen. the torque is around 290ft lb and bhp is around 335. you could get more but it runs safely at the moment. also the power is consistent throughout the rev range so you will find it quicker than most cars on the road. you are right about the brakes, that would have been my next spend. i was also going to put on a bigger turbo at some point, this would be the best way to gain more power, but you will need bigger injectors too. dont replace the fuel pump it is good for nearly 400 brake. a frontmount might be a good idea too. have fun.
