When Economy Comes Into The Equation

Postby WR1 Bro » Thu Mar 10, 2005 12:49 pm

Dear All,

Spent weeks looking for an economical car for long journeys. Merc/BMW/Audi/Lexus and many more just did not want my money. I couldn't believe it.

when I went to the BMW dealer to have a look at an M3 they as good as told me to f off. One stinking letter to the dealer principle later and I had the guy who told me that I should perhaps go elsewhere on the phone licking my ass - to which replyed telling him that he just lost the commission on a

I've never had any joy trying to buy a BMW, that's why i ended up with a Scooby. The salesman wanted my money!

His confidence in me has payed off, i've just place my 3rd order with him in under 3 years!

BMW dealers are the worst !!

I wanted to try a M3, but would not let me go out in it by myself.

I said i wanted to borrow it for a day.

They didnt want to know, so bought a WR1.

Audi have been great, i have borrowed loads of the range over the past 2 years. it paid off in the end as i bought one in the end.

They even said i could borrow the New RS3 for the weekend when it released next year. Great guys at Audi.

what made my BMW incident more amusing was that the guy said "well I can let you sit in one if you like!"

How insulting is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually laughed at him and said that next time I come in I'll bring a bank statement and my credit file you stuck up c)ck sucker!

I'll NEVER buy a BMW after that experience ever!

Obviously lacks the road presence of the WR1 but from what the sales guy was telling me with the options you went for it will seriously move - and embarress a number of other prestige sports cars.

Agree fully there, it has no road presence which after a nightmare afternoon the other week im now pleased.

I took the WR1 to look at a School that wanted Air COnditioning.

It was break time, i pull up outside, and you can guess the rest :(

Its at these times i wish the WR1 had a invisible mode, needless to say i didnt get the job...

No one gives the Audi a second look. They dont get a chance as its so quick away from the lights, just ticking over :)

Audi - Plymouth (Stay away from them)

Postby rusandpip » Mon Jun 26, 2006 5:23 am

I have a WR1 with average miles and went to Audi Plymouth and was looking at trading it in against a 3 year old RS6. They offered me 16,000 pounds without even looking at the car. I promptly left the dealership and they didnt chase up my request. Still lookin for an RS6, but by selling my motor private I think. Only because I cant fit a wife, son and two dogs into the WR1!!!!!! Gutted. :(
Been an owner of a WRX until July 05, when I traded it in against a WR1 and dont think I will look back (apart from in my rear view mirror)

Try the www.rs246.com website

Forum with reasonably sensible people.

Audi UK dealers indeed a bunch of gangsters.

They made me a bogus contract hire quote, took the deposit, then took 2 months to sort the leasing out and came back saying "we used another finance company and it's 30% more expensive"... "oh yeah, and the car will be 2 months late at least". Cancelled and they now say they need to sell my car first before refunding the deposit as 'I was too slow to sort the papers out'... :cuckoo:

Gonna have a little 'chat' with them today, just giving some direction to the local county court.
