Yep picked it up Yesterday, and im very pleased with it. Such a different feel to the WR1.

The WR1 being a drivers, raw power car, while the Audi with all its electronic gadgets is more of a lazy mans hot hatch ;)

it goes like stink, even in the snow :)

Looks good. Any mods planned?

I had an Audi A3 before my WRX, not as quick as yours but a very solid car.

Up date..

Been using it most days to look at jobs all over Norfolk and Suffolk

Got to admitt i love the B Road Twisties as its so well balanced, the Quattro 4wd system is fantasic with all the safety features turned off ;)

Overtaking on the A roads at 80+ and i really miss the 4th gear power of teh WR1, the WR1 is a Overtaking machine at this kind of speed, the Audi just takes a little bit longer to get past the cars ;)

But the majority of my drives are city based and B road Blasts, this is were the 3.2 V6 really comes into its own, Instant throttle responce,
The DSG gear changes so smooth you quickly enter Oh My God speed with out realising it, its little effort to do this.

So

Im happy with the instant throttle responce and quick off the mark power around the city

But miss the overtaking power of the WR1 :(

Roll on the RS3 in 06 :) im sure a turbo will help a bit ;)

But then you'll get turbo lag and bog down...

By the way, you've blanked out the number plates in all but one of the pictures.

Audi bog down will be different to Subaru's in an efficient German kind of way.

Hei Brian,

When you got the Audi, never considered the Volvo S60 R ? As a concept it's closer to the scoob (4wd, turbo, 300bhp) than the Audi A3 3.2.
And it also sounds fantastic (just like the old quattro).

Got to admit i never looked at any of the Volvo Range, If it had a turbo it would not have been on my list in the first place, Turbos and me just dont get on with my driving style.

Unless its a Impreza Type R and that dosent count as its geared " Properly" :)

For once I have to agree with the Swede. The punch is part of the fun to me and the smile is endless as your internal organs get moved around a little.

I found the RS Focus to be a very capable car in terms of handling.... but, it added no spark into my life. Lets face it, I do need some spark!

Audi's.... they need a little more agression with looks too.

Look, it is either Swede or Turnip. They were your first nicknames on here and that is how it will stay.

Which do you prefer? Swede? Turnip?

It is either that or we can change you name to Carling? It doesnt follow that you can choose you own nickname.

Mind you, we're "slightly" off topic and if we don't care, the other Belgian (Gangsta Smurf) will lock the topic.

I'd still like to get Brian's view on turbo cars and why he does not like them.

Why do I always get my stuff down as "guest". Normally you can't even post a reply without logging in.

Any problems with the website ?

I thought Brian had explained this quite well.... His driving style does not suit a turbo car. How else do you want him to describe it?

I guess he doesn't like lauching with max revs!! Maybe he lives in a respectable area unlike most of us!!

Hey back to topic please guys.

I feel that the Small Engine Turbo cars are no good for me as they rely on the turbo to make them go ..

EG a new age Impreza :(

If a turbo is added to a high capacity engine like a 3.2 V6 it would have the instant power and then the Kick in the back power from the turbo

THis is why the RS6 Audi is so good :)

It ok to put a tubo on a light weight car with a small engine, its just that Subaru have lost the plot on the New age - they are far more heavier thus need to either
1: GEar Down - which they didnt
2: Make the car Lighter - oops !!!
3: install a lager engine to get it going and then the turdo takes over - HELLO 2.5 !!!

So basicly the laws of the Turbo Lag.
Dont put a small engine Turbo into a heavy car !!!

otherwise you get BOG DOWN !!!
