Would you risk it ?

Postby The Swede » Mon Nov 05, 2007 9:21 am

Last year at Spa, I saw one of these.

http://www.ultimasports.co.uk/gtr/index.html

All looked interesting...

... until I read you actually build this thing yourself...

Any volunteers for a ride in 'the fastest supercar' assembled by Spike and the Swede in Bro's shed ? :?

I would love to "attempt" to build a car. I think Marky Mark would change his mobile number after the first week of me starting the spanner work!!

:toofunny:

Maybe we should buy one in group as a track car. We could use it as our own 'Parade-cars' (without the bankruptcy) and actually get much more days out than you'd get with a Parade set-up... ;)

Considering I already got practice building cars... I'll happily pick up ... erm... the manual.

I would actually love to build a car, it would probably take me a lifetime but would be a great learning experience, cropped up in conversation yesterday whilst on the subject of AC Cobras 8)

OK, so we got three people to build a car;

- Dan55r
- Bro
- Swede

If we got a fourth person we can play cards while Marky Mark actually does the building

I built a Westfied 7 when i was in my early 20's. Had a tuned Ford X-flow in it, bored out to 1700cc, Twin DCOE 40's etc.

Mega fun building it, went like shit off a shovel. Estimate your build time then double it, and then add 50% on for your estimated cost as well.

I would love a track car and that is a goal of mine. Many other things need to take priority first... yes, priority above your Finland trip too!!

These cars are built just 3 miles from me we see them being tested every day, very quick,in fact one was written off by a customer whilst being tested a few years back.

Do they actually also build them? I saw a video on how to build these and... I am not sure Stu and I would ever manage to put a driving one together... :?

Im sure the Ultima is the car that holds loads of records out there - they are simply insane. As for building a car, i know how to change tyres and fill the washer fluid bottle so i can do that bit for ya guys...
