Yes a stunning car bud, I think he had you at the perfect speed to dust you there, where the torque of the V8 was at its max !!

Consider two things before you do so:

1. Audi gives SH!TE service. There are some posts here explaining how they 'moved' my order for a full spec RS4 Avant back 'because of important customers'... :wank:

2. When I ordered it, the RS4 came third on my list of preferences, after the rice-rocket and the 911 C4S. It does everything you want it to do: fast, agile, brakes well, perfectly equiped for everyday use or long trips,... But it misses the character your 1 will have. It's a perfect fast car for a woman or if you're after 1 fast car that does everything well, but nothing perfect.
The scoobs and Evo's don't do much well, but they're PERFECT and putting a big grin on your face !

And if you wanna avoid an RS4 pulling away from you, just get some more horses under that bonnet of yours ! :)

Yeah was thinking about mods anyway..and after yesterday thats convinced me its the way to go..especially as he gave a cheeky wave :( as he thundered past me..and i know its not good to mod the 1.."should keep it standard" but im not to worried about the resale value.
Also i want to mod the car but keep the sound of the 1 the same..don`t want no chav exhaust!

There is quite a few exhausts that keep the sound and just 'open it up a bit'. 1mposter has a very good one.

That being said... You might wanna invest in a driving course instead of mods. By the sound of it, you drive like a girl !

APS 3inch full system is excellent quality aswell as sounding good.
I seem to remember a few of the lads at Spa saying how good it sounded after going past "la source" eventually

It does look like the Prodrive tail aswell so looking standard-ish too 8)

Obviously not a top  driver like you..but have raced bikes..and karts so think i can hold my own on the driving front..anyway we was on a long straight..probaly been a different outcome had i been on my own and some nice twisty bits..still not to keen on the auto mode on the diff though.

Stanley don't take offence of the Sweede's comments, he does'nt mean any harm.

Never used our dccd in any other mode except auto !

Both, but not too obtrusive.

RCM does a excellent system aswell, but its more Jap style slashcut tail.

If there is a downside you'll need a re-map, 1st one is about £5/700 you have to buy the licence, possibly a slightly bigger turbo to avoid "turbo-surge", if you use the higher revs then you may not need to, but if your like me and like to use the low-down revs sometimes it is annoying !

Thinking of spending around 5 grand..www.dsautomotives.co.uk do an aps coversion which produces around 400 for that price.. looks a good company, they was in the sept issue of banzai.
But saying that james at grd racing developments dosen`t rate aps very highly :?

Sorry, was indeed pulling your chain.

Considering you do not like the auto mode on the diffs setting, I take back what I said: clearly the issue is that your 1 doesn't have enough power

For 5K you should be able to get some good power.

That being said, I'd be rather inclined to spend some money on suspension and brakes and only get a mild power upgrade, just to accentuate the car's character rather than to spend the 5K on power.

In the end, who cares about an RS4 being faster above 120mph ? What matters is whether you have fun on small roads.

You could of course get an Evo with 400bhp and  RS4 ...

Sorry pooster !

Mines at dsautos as we speak ! Yep seen them in Banzai too.

Done pretty much everything apart from internals, ap's front and soon to be rear, there here sitting in the box  exe-tc coilovers, f/r whiteline arb ....pretty much everything going

Spoke to James Geenwood several times, really nice bloke, know's his stuff, he used to sell APS. Quoted me a price's on some APS stuff, but was dearer, not saying thats a bad thing though !
Now he's started trying to develop is own stuff, which seem's to be getting good reports. so hence trying to sell his stuff is bound to be better than other products. But it may be !

How much are AP's about ?

A cheaper alternative might be to swap discs and pads for PF items and use the original calipers (which are actually pretty good).

I got PF's under the Evo and they have stood about everything I've thrown at them. (and I tend to 'push' the car sometimes a bit)

They aint cheap..well over a 1k for the front only.
You will probaly never use them to their max on the road..but are ideal if you do track days.
Yeah the brembos are good..but if you have ever stamped hard on a car with ap`s 6 pots..their amazing..and with the right pads you don`t need to mess about warming them up..might whip the ap`s of her car and give her the brembos..but saying that she has 19`s on her scooby and the discs fill the wheels and look great.

It's a experimentive issue, loads of people tell me the difference is nothing to shout about, but is the safer way too go for track days.
If I don't like it back too tmic and internals .....pmsl
Currently mapped to 410bhp/360lbft torque is down on what was expected, but still in talking of why until I collect. :?

Martin, what sort of boost are you running now to get 410bhp, or was the gain from fitting the FMIC?

I bought a 3" decat Hayward & Scott zorst on a group buy a few of weeks ago. Won't be fitted until the new year though :(

Should be a good RR day next year...people have been busy modding since the last one

Nice one, not a big hike in boost then. Some people on SN seem to run 1.6BAR on STI 8 engines (cars mapped by Andy F and Bob). Others like Powerstation don't seem to push past 1.4BAR.
