I've just collected my new workhorse too! I've had Vauxhall Brava's, mitsi L200's, and just been let down big style with my nissan navara-which decided to blow up on me, anyway that's another topic in itself! Moral of the story-Keep well away from the nissan navara on all acounts.

Anyway, I too have decided to buy a ranger thunder as my second . . .or 'third rather' car, which I picked up today! What I immediately noticed is that it suffers from unbelievable understeer-far worse than any other pickup I've ever driven! The brakes too are shocking! Have you experienced the same with your new ranger?

I agree with what you said about value for money, no other pickup came anywhere near as cheap for the spec of the thunder! Have you got heated seats in urs?

Mark

Hi mark, No I dont think I do, but I have just stuck BF goodrich mud terrain tyres on it which are awesome lol,. it looks mega now,.

Il take some pics later for you.

The brakes feel spongy, and there is to much free travel in the pedal, but when you do hit them hard they work fine.

Regards under steer, double cabs are notoriusly easy to roll, Ive had 3 warriors, and a hilux and they have all been the same.

The steerings very light and lacks feel but overall Im very happy with the thing bud, the engines not bad either and even with only 2000 miles on it, it will cruise at 90mph with consumate ease.

Outstanding value for money/spec id say ?

Looking smart fella. I still prefer the Navara or the L200 for looking a little more funky. But, for the price you are right about it being a good offer. I assume your £18k price tab was excluding VAT?

If you are doing high miles then are they the best tyres for the job? Or are looks/image more important?

ok mate, time to reveal the truth about this truck.
I paid 16k + vat.

Obviously the vats no problem, il claim all that back end of my next quarter,.

I agree the mitsi and navara have the edge on looks but, it came down to
the engine which is 146bhp brand new and very torquey,

Economical, and it had all the right bling bits for me as standard.

Re the tyres, would you believe me if I told you they will last 40,000 miles ? no joke they will.

Interesting, so there should be 37k miles left of rubber when you sell the car?

I paid £13995 + VAT for mine! And I had a combination hitch, 12months tax, and first registration fee thrown in with the deal! Only problem is that the reversing sensors don't work-because of the combination hitch, and I've not had remote access key as yet!

How much were the tyres, and what size have you put on?

Thanks,

Mark
