Driven my brothers E46 M3, the sound on full chack is almost as addictive as a de-cat scoob 8)
It seems this new model seems to pure rather than bite :?

We saw these lapping the ring in April when we were there - disappointing is not a word that I would use.

Those would be:
Fekking Fast
Rapid
Great Sounding

BMW have gone the right direction with the V8 IMO

Still have to be the E30 evo for me. Only M3 that has ever been properly 8) and it still looks superb today. Back then it was class of the field, these days BM just try and play catchup.

Although the CSL E46s at donnington recently did go well and sound awesome.

As Clarkson says though "the only problem with owning a BMW is that people see you in them"

I used to hate BMW's thinking they were all driven by knobbers and status freaks until I went to the ring for the first time last year..... they are simply awesome there.

ps - my opinion hasnt changed on UK beemer drivers ;)

I dont think there is a hell of a lot left to pull out of the csl mate, maybe 20-30bhp max, very nice mota though as Im sure you'll agree, unfortunatley its only available with SMG box and that spoils it for me.

The csl at silverstone was flying past nearly everything, I know its a track bias car but it went past a lot of high powered evo's and scoob like they were standing still,...supercharged sees them with 550bhp
