There doesn't seem to much in the way of side support on the seats?

Chris, These guys used to be the original Ralliart UK. Heard they're pretty good. Car looks in white ! The seats are sh1te on purpose. This car is supposed to be used as basis for a rallycar. And as people anyway change the seats to proper compentition stuff. Anyone any idea how much the Recaros in the FQ cost ? They are pretty good, in fact.

TBH, if I'd be getting an Evo again, I probably wouldn't go FQ anything. I'd get a proper 'base' car and then get it spec'ed to my taste exactly (i.e. get it a bit more extreme = lighter/more agile). Prob would get it in white also.

Xtreme are terrible - that's why they used to be Ralliart but aint even a dealer any more. Used to build specials that werent actually official Mitsi cars - remember an autocar article in which they supplied some kind of superduper evo 6 and the clutch was slipping from outset - bit like the one theyre trying to sell there. Sounds to good to be true - which probably means it is If you want a 400 bhp evo then buy the one mitsi sell officially - simple !!! And if you want a white one - make me an offer

Well, there are sure more importers of the base Evo.
Litchfield for istance imports the same car at a similar price.
Afterwards it's a matter of finding the right modifier and be carefull as you spec your car.
Assume the Xtreme guys are going down the WRC route: lots of power for little money and hence don't adapt the rest of the car as needed.

Oh yeah, there are plenty of choices - but what would a modified, unwarrantied, imported, base model evo really be worth ?? And who would buy it when there are plenty of official, full phat cars out there with loads of bhp and plenty of goodies.
Your current car for example - perfect - correct spec, loads of power + warranty and likely to be easily sellable at a good price when youve finished with it. Its a sort-after example and would be my choice over some stripped out base rally car 100% of the time.

Agree with Neil. The reasons mentionned is why I chose to go the way I did: i.e. keep it rational and economically sound. My 'ideal' Evo was basically if I had free choice though (and obviously wouldn't need to care about money). Then again, you can argue it would be more sensible to actually get a real rallycar and drive that in competition. Meanwhile getting a 997 4S as road car Maybe I should cancel those holidays and work a bit harder.
