Scott Lowe rear mudflap fitting on Evo

Postby The Swede » Tue Oct 31, 2006 1:29 pm

The front ones are easy to fit. The instructions for the rear ones can be a tad confusing. So here's the story in pictures. It's a 10 minute job.

- Remove the bolt (nr.10) in the wheelarch. (left on on the picture)

- Then put the bracket in place and bend it so it's straight (otherwise your mudflap will not be straight).

- Next remove the bolt (nr.10) that keeps wheel arch-lining and the bumper together.
- I put the bracket behind the bumper at the top and between bumper and mudflap at the bottom hole. Unsure if that is correct. Assume you could fit the entire bracket at the inside (between bumper and wheel arch lining). I am afraid doing so will result in the mudflap not hanging straight though as the bracket will be at an angle.

I also reused the original bolt to screw the bracket back in place. For the rest, just use the 3 retaining clips.

Job done.
