:thumb: - Ware Garages, yes ? You must be about the 7th or 8th person ive recommended them to thats come away with a new motor. Recon Donald owes me a nice big drink :D

Didn't buy the car there.

Guys from Swindon did the best deal on the 320. Donald straight away said he could never match it.

The car was just set on the road to be a demonstrator and had 50 miles on the clock. Got it offered for a fantastic price.

Ware will however do the mods and they sound very :ok:

So you have just bought a brand new Evo (from a dealer in this country) .... what happened to the Audi RS4 on order? And you still have the scoob, the caravan and the merc. And you are also ordering a Porka in the summer.

Hmmmm :? :? :? :?

:lol2:

RS4:
1. Audi p*ssed around with the leaseprice. It 'suddenly' increased significantly (40% !) as they claimed the company leasing it was established less than 3 years ago.
2. Then they said the car promised mid August (when scoob goes back) will be build week 41, delivery 4-8 weeks later...
So sent a letter to cancel and claim my deposit back.

Evo: Just bought indeed. (in UK as I am based in UK and FQ's are only available there)

Scoob: Lease ends 19-8. Might try to keep it for another week just to use it at Spa and the Ring

Caravan: Was nicked in December 1999 from storage on a Caravan Club site in Redhill (with collaboration from the site managers :suss:).
I had just gone back to Belgium while awaiting my new house in UK to be available on 1-1-2000 and had stored most belongings in the caravan meanwhile... Still awaiting insurance pay out from caravan club

Merc: Still running indeed. That's my car which I use mainly when I drive up and down between Finland, Belgium and UK. Also used to tow the boat. (which you forgot to mention )

Porker: Depending on what I do with work, I am hoping to only run the Evo for a year and order a 911 C4S for delivery next summer. Avoids me taking such car through the winter here and gives me a bit more time to choose how I exactly want the car.
Besides, I just bought a new house in the North of Finland on the 1-st of this month and we still need to get a garage sorted out. And I want a garage BEFORE I get a Porker !

Brave man eh ... Aren't you worried about when you bring your porka home after a ragging session that the heat from the exhaust pipework will melt through the ice and then you wake up to see it floating off into the polar sun?

How do igloo mortgages work then?

You don't need too rob any banks for that... Image

Paid my wife's igloo just cash. Mortgage was far too complicated here.

At the moment we got a carport and I park the Merc behind it. Wanna transform it into a double garage. Keeps it of sight of all these :wank: around.

Few pics below taken last weekend bafore Hannu's birthday party.

No, we actually moved 250 miles North and now live 65.5 degrees North. (sorry, my wife lives 65.5 degrees North ! I live in Swansea )

It's pretty amazing indeed. When we visited the house in April, there was a 3m high igloo the children had built in the front garden.

Temperature swings are pretty big. We can go to +25C in June and July. But Autumn starts in August and end of September you get the first snow showers.
Then a few months 'reasonably cold' (like -5 or -10) with quite a bit of snow and then just after New Year it takes a dive and regularly goes well below -30C.

28 March I was in Oulu and it was -37C. Two and a half months later it was +22C.

Looking forward to the winter again with the Evo. Wanna see how smart those diffs are ! :woohoo:

They make one just down the road in Kemi. Hotel, restaurant, bar, etc.

Just come between early January and early May.

PS: I think I'll still just put you up in the guest room, Stu, if that's OK with you

Do you think the lease companies are worried about depreciation of the RS4? I saw an AM V8 Vantage advertised at a similar price to the one you were quoted.

You into building, Spike ?

If you're interested, I'll order the materials and happily fly you over.

On the Audi, to be honnest, I think they just took some cash from a customer who wanted his RS4 earlier and sold my slot.
If you're looking for an Audi, Audi Basingstoke is the way to go ! :2up:

Yep.

Quote was given by Martins Audi still and signed on a friday.

When I went down on the Tuesday, the garage suddenly was a Renault dealer...

Audi had moved and renamed as Basinstoke Audi and had fired the salesman.

Should have smelled a rat back then.

Yoko A046s aren't E-Marked, so you can't buy new ones when they wear out. Consequently, I've decided that I should get some better wheels now and use the money from selling the wheels and tyres delivered on the car to offset the cost! (Dealer has already arranged the sale).
