Driven one a while ago in Germany as renter.

Nothing to get excited about. It's a top of the range 407. Drives like the saloon, very heavy car though and pretty large.

I think it misses a good petrol engine.

Not relevant looking at if you like a car to drive like a scoob.

One of my friends (yes Swede, THAT one) works for a Peugeot dealer.

After hearing about the number of recalls and warranty claims they have i'd NEVER bother buying another Pug.

Peugeot to make a terrible looking car too - quite liked the 306 Rallye back in the day, but even that looks so old now.

Ok, thanks all. Been offered a 24 hour test drive in one and wondered whether it was worth taking it just for the hell of it. No point though by the looks of it

Nowt lose if you ask me.

I wouldn't have one but I like testing all sorts of cars for the fun of it.

They are travelling down to my house from 120 miles away though just to bring me this car. I would quite like a little test of it though.

Couple of questions, how does their driver get back to where he came from once he drops the car to me?

Do i have to fill it up with petrol for them once i have finished with it and thats it? Dont have to pay them a fee or anything? I have only ever taken quick test drives with the sales guys before.

Right very angry now.

Can someone give me some advice. As explained above i had a 24 hour test drive in the 407. Nice car, nice drive but at the end of the day it would not be a car that i would spend over

I'd phone the credit card company and see if they can either stop or refund the money back onto your account.

Check any paperwork you signed before taking the test drive. If there's nothing about the charge in there phone the CAB about recovering the money from the small claims court.

Checked paperwork and the guy on the phone admitted that the paperwork i signed does not state that im liable for the fuel.

I have spoken to the credit card and they have not yet taken it but if they do Barclaycard will raise this with them and explain that it is being disputed. They will then have to prove the right to the funds. It all seems a bit of hassle for
