Are you still looking for something comfortable thar can also ferry the family around in fact ? We seem to shoot in about any direction here with FQ320's and F355's. 
Yes, you are correct it does need to be a family car with 4 or 5 seats.  It was just a shameless excuse to go and test drive a Ferrari.  Too petty to be a traffic warden...

Chris ... take a trip to Verdi Ferrari. Get a test drive in a 355 ... I guarantee you that afterwards your requirement that you new car must have 4 or 5 seats will go out of the window. If you haven't ever driven one you simply must. Every hair on your body will be standing up when you blip it in first and listen to the over-run from that gorgeous engine. Indeed the 360 sounds a bit better, but as a driving machine the 355 makes you feel more a part of the car itself rather than just a hanger on to an on-board computer. One thing I do know is my ferraris and the 355 is the best made so far in terms of a drivers car. The ferraris of today are a technical marvel but with each new model (bar the F60(Enzo)) they loose a little bit more of the driving pleasure and passion. Get one get one get one get one! 
Thanks for the name of the Ferrari garage, they're not too far down the road from my outlaws so i think a test drive is in order.
I'm not really too sure that a 355 would be anything like the correct car for me but i'm willing to give it a go and drive one. Even if it doesn't fit the bill now it may do in the future; if this new business thing i'm planning does come to anything i will need a second car in the house. The insurance doesn't look too bad either, i had a quick look and it looks like it will be under Too petty to be a traffic warden...
Ever considered the S-type R ? Looks nice IMHO. Drove a few S-types as renters and for what I remember, the chassis is really good. Ashame the boot is really small.

456GT is a nice thought.
Heard they can be a 'tad' pricey to run and especially to put right when something goes wrong. the 456 was the car that the 612 Scaglietti replaced. A very very good car and going for very good money these days!! The GT cars always depreciated like a stone - almost a 1/3 extra on top of what the F series coupes depreciate. Two types of 456, the original GT version and the later GTa ... a being the automatic version. Steer clear of that as the gearbox has a tendency to go pop with only a slight amount of abuse. All round though a very very nice car. Get a capristo or Tubi exhaust on a 456 and it gives it a lovely boom and in a tunnel will have a similar effect to your hair that the 360 has. Personally though I think the 355 was and still is a better car, however it's like comparing chalk and cheese with them two as one is a GT car and the other isn't. For you and your needs the 456 sounds like the better option. Again talk to Verdi Ferrari ... they are a family business and are not a massive ferrari franchise. The owners are proper petrol heads and will give you the best advice. Their cars are all top top quality and are priced well. Well worth giving Bob Houghton as they deal in some absolutely gorgeous versions. Verdi turn their stock over faster though so you are more likely to find something you like there. With Bob Houghton they only buy and sell absolutely pristine and low mileage versions. That's why their prices are higher. Agree with Torrekins on the S Type R jaguar. Only thing is I don't like the look ... but I am only 24.
forgot to mention that if you take the F355 past the test drive phase ... i.e. you look into buying one, steer clear of the F1 versions (with the paddle shift gear boxes. These were made with old technology and frequenty go wrong (Again not on every model just luck of the draw and what the history of the car is) ... always go for the 'stick' cars unless you are looking at 360s in which case the F1 paddle shift is made with new technology and is more reliable.

Nope, sadly! Wedding planning for the next 3 and a bit weeks then away for 2. After that i'll have a lot of free time on my hands! What are your thoughts on the 550? I've read some fairly good thinds on them on the probably bais Ferrari forums. Too petty to be a traffic warden...
Simple: the 550 does not respond to your criteria: sit 4 or 5 in relative comfort.

Indeed a tad cramped for 4  You ever considered an Audi Sportquattro, chris ? 4 seats, 306bhp, 990kgs, 4WD, no depreciation and a GLORIOUS 5 cyl sound-track !
but you'll have to sell your legs so you won't be able to drive it!
