That is the million dollar question - if the new car does indeed look like the showcar then I will be seriously tempted. If not then I doubt it - time for a change next time round me thinks.

M5 ? M6 ? 911 ? Aston ?

The more I think about it, the more I think I'm gonna go for the same style of car.

I been trying to get 5 Audi dealers this afternoon to understand I DO NOT want to order a car (RS4 in this case) without driving one first. :brick:
All the marketing :blahblah: in the world does not convince me this might just be a shrunk A8 that goes a bit faster.

I really no have no idea - 911 would be nice, Viper would be fullfill a bit of a boyhood dream - who knows. Got a few years to decide yet.

Did like the new Jag XK on top gear last night too, so :?

Think those RS4s (the ones with the V8) are actually pritty good cars, getting excellent write ups in the press at the moment.

Yeah... that's what's worrying me. Several years ago I worked as free-lance car-journalist in Belgium and I still know quite a few of the guys. Which is why their good write up worries me

As we've seen on several occasions here, cars are a matter of personal taste and circumstances.

Journalists just check if it's a nice car. But they for instance didn't like the turbolag on the scoob or the Evo whereas I love the cars for that. Hell, use the gearlever !

Note: while typing this one Audi dealer came back to me saying he'll have an RS4 on the road in a few weeks and will contact me then. :thumb:

I think i read somewhere that the new RS4's were having a few gearbox issues in testing. No idea if it's true though.

They do look 8)

They look indeed great.

I am looking forward to test one and I hope by all means that Audi did not make it a shrunk A6/A8 but that it is a V8 version of the Scoob or Evo.

The review on Top Gear a few weeks ago was very good.

Back to the Evo X.

Noticed on the Evo 9, the car has like a "sound deathener" in the end of the exhaust which you can just take out by unbolting a screw underneath.

It allows you to have a car that is reasonably silent when you need to do long journeys (or when your wife uses it to commute during the week), and you can have a nice loud WRC sound when you go for a play with it !

I think this is really neat !

How do you unbolt a screw mate? With a industrial hammer drill?

Not quite sure the drill will fit under the car to take the screw out... :?
