M6 ... Should I ?

Just got a mail offering me a M6 in lease. Cancelled order.

1075 GBP per month.

This looks pretty tempting considering a 2006 STi or FQ340 are around 600 GBP and a 650Ci is 950 per month.

STi is only out of lease next year, but I could replace mine by this and get the wife her 'normal' car next year...

They indeed look great. Sat in one at the BMW dealer in Swansea and really liked the interior. It really feels like a very special car.

What's the waiting list for an M6 ?

I'm just wondering what it would be if I'd wait until next spring and get it then.

Plus, is it really more fun to drive than a good WR1 or an FQ340 or 400 ? It's still a heavy car with lot's of electronics trying to make it driveable for the City tw@ts with more money than driving skills.

Nope, still there. Only Bluetooth as option and colour still to be specified for delivery early January.

Still awaiting how much it 'd be if I took a 'normal' one.

Contrary to POESY, I am not an M5 (or M3) fan. There are so many 'tarted up' 3 and 5-series around and second hand M5's that I do not like the image at all.
I would hope you won't see an M6 too quickly being raced around a London suburb by two 28 year old inhabitants of the old colonies.

Wife been offered a specialisation place in Clinical Genetics in Northern Finland (pretty hard to come by and only got to do 2.5 years anymore instead of 8 years if we come to UK. So it's gonna be hard negociation for me).

Artic circle no good place for M6. Back to the Scoob or Evo. :mad:
