alpina .... same power as an M3 but with more exclusivity, better toys, better wheels and you don't look like a hooray henry driving it.

Oh and it's cheaper than a fully spec'd M3 too.

I thought the Alpina was 280bhp and the M3 is above 300bhp?

Alpina B3 3.3 is same power as an M3. B10 V8 is same as M5 etc etc etc

If it was my choice I'd be buying an M3 CSL - simply because that thing is amazing.

Alpina is true bling though - just separates itself from the Chavvy M3 and 330Ci. Sonic blue and white leather is the way to go!

These cars really do nothing for me - i dont no why because by all accounts the're very good.

Maybe it because i'll always see them as the poor relation to the M5, aah the M5 - now your talking :D

Disclaimer : I do have a soft spot for the E30 M3 Evo though, fabulous car, if only it was available in RHD.

M3 got many qualities, but has the image of a pimp car. I always picture inhabitants of your old colonies racing them in the streets of some London suburb.

No fan of the Alpina either. Their optical changes always make the car look a bit dated, I find. Bit 80's. I always get the feel they look like second hand cars.
