Why do people feel the need to over-pay for things on e-bay?
I have sold a product on there recently which retails in shops all over the country at

....trip to the shops = 2 hours of time + Petrol and running costs.

maybe thats why ? or maby they were just lazy ?

I'm not complaining, just couldn't understand why!
I'll be listing more stuff now!

I can't get my head round e-bay. I've heard people refer to buying stuff as "winning" because their bid was accepted. It's almost as if they've entered a competition and won something. As Jaycee says, they are paying over the odds for stuff that is not hard to get hold of in shops. In a lot of cases I'm sure people just get caught up in the whole thing and bid for stuff they probably don't even need. Maybe it's me, but I've never been into shopping anyway so I can't see the appeal.

I've only been using ebay this last week and I bid on my first item today. I was gutted when I got outbid and I didn't particularly want it anyway!!
I had to bid again so I didn't feel like I was ''losing'', as it happens I was outbid again on it so I left it at that.
Now I know how some people can over-pay for stuff.

Good old auctions.

I've never bid for anything on ebay.

Ive bought loads of Scalextric Cars and track on eabay last year,
Loads of Brio Track for my Daughter as well.

But i agree its like Winning, you bid, bid, and then you bid again its all so very easy to Overbid just to win the auction.
I can see why many people get hooked as i would class it as Gambling and i would expect to see this addressed in the future..
