Beware Alpine Head units on Ebay!

Just to let you all know I've been stung on Ebay I bought an Alpine CDA-7998 stereo from a UK seller in the UK, now I've found out that it's an American import and you can't get RDS and with this unit it won't tune into all UK stations and there isn't any DAB option either instead it says it can receive XM satellite stations which we don't get here?

1. Re-sell it on e-bay and pass it on to someone else.
2. Send it to me Special delivery, I'll get it "signed" :wink: then you claim on the insurance for lost in post!!

Well it probably will but I couldn't con someone like I've been so I will put it on the American Ebay and cut my losses as I can't see anyone in the UK wanting it (unless anyone knows different)...but it brings it home that there's some real dodgy people on Ebay :cry:

I've not been brave enough to buy anything off there yet and hearing about what has happened to you makes me not want to rush into it just yet.

Ebay's great don't let me put you off I have 140 things I've bought and sold and only had trouble with 2 things this head unit and ages ago a
