Liverpool want to ban smoking in public.....

Postby jaycee » Thu Oct 21, 2004 9:39 am

I'm sure there are a lot of other things they could ban first such as
Shell suits
Dodgy perms
Repeatedly saying "calm down"
Living on past glories for Liverpool F.C.
Living on past glories of The Beatles

The list goes on and on.

So what are your views on smoking in public places?

From my understanding the ban is to cover anywhere the "General Public" go.
I already have to smoke outside at home- my choice I must admit, I have 3 small children and don't want them breathing it in or smelling of stale smoke. I don't smoke in the Impreza but my AX is like a mobile ashtray!

OK then so in all public places including outside in the open air .. now thats just silly isnt it.

Works office isnt a public place and the Office owner would have to install a Smoking room - which would have to have a Extract system with air cleaners :) :)

its a debate that will run and run, THere are a few Indian Restauants just opened up near me and they are Non Smoking.
THey are allways Fully Booked !!

ex smoker for the last 15 years, we are the worst people, when it comes to smoking, it should be banned where there are people that dont smoke, i hate it when we go out for meals where they have not banned smoking, all you can taste is smoke, not very nice at all, we now only go to places that do not allow smoking, and you would be surprised how many places are now doing this.

You all won't be so keen when the next thing they want to ban is fast cars. The driver is already persecuted and the pressure is increasing.
Whatever happened to freedom?
