Lol ... I like that one. My gem still remains ....

Fat pie/donut eating traffic cop ... "why have I stopped you sir?"

Gangsta "Er .... for going sideways around the Plaza roundabout?"

Copper "No actually it was your plate ... but I'll do you for reckless driving now too!"

Gangsta "Where is your evidence?"

Copper "You just admitted to doing it"

Gangta "No I didn't, I don't know what your talking about!"

.... I got away with it too!!

He also is one of the funniest people I know ... especially when he tries it on with the old girl at the donut stall! PMSL has me in tears!

FPMSL - good chat fellas.

Gangsta what about when we had all the donuts and coffees lined up on your rear spoiler and the old bill told you to move the motor :
Gangsta <but were soooooooooooooooooooo hungry>
Copper <move on or i'll give you a ticket>
Gangsta <is that the best reply youve got?>
Car swiftly moved as copper made to write out ticket.

Copper once stopped me for pushing it hard round a roundabout:
Copper <would you like to borrow my lights for that thing>
Thought it was quite funny but kept my gob shut and got off with a warning.

current tally of fixed penalties for numberplates, flippancy and illegal parking (long story on that one but basically a copper came along and told me to move my car from chevrons in Southend that 35 cars had parked on, I said that's not fair because you're not telling the others to move so i'm not moving till they do. He said he'd write me a ticket for every three minutes I leave my car on the lines, I said write away mate -

Only really got stopped once by police.

Didn't have any sense of humour. :( He didn't like that i was driving too fast, he didn't like that I lost his colleague who was chasing me, he didn't like that they had to set up a road block to stop me, he blamed me for his colleague losing his exhaust in the chase  (what the f*ck did I have to do with that ??).

But most of all, he didn't like that I had a good laugh at him in court when he discovered he forgot to have evidence (no pic, no video, no second policeman in the chasing car,...). :blah:

We now know the identity of Ghostrider!

Respect for you for having your own personal roadblock set up ... I still have much to learn!

Excellent story, Brian :thumb:

Also must admit...

As they didn't know what to do with me between arrest and my future in-laws picking me up from the police station (I was obviously banned from driving until the courtcase was on), they put me in a little cell... :2up:

Cost of the fine: 120 GBP (only got done for doing 130km/h instead of 100km/h as that is what I admitted to and they had no evidence)

Ban: 5 months (Finland only. As I was living in the UK :2: )

Meeting your in-laws for the first time when they pick you up from the police station AND after 7 years, still holding the highest ever recorded speed on a public road in Finland... PRICELESS

The bloke who was chasing me (with a Nissan Primera ) said he was doing 210km/h (i.e.131 mph) and couldn't follow. (was clocked at 224 km/h they said)(100 km/h speedlimit)

Fine.

What I think should have been interesting to see is him losing the exhaust at that speed !

I'd have expected that upon touching the ground at that speed, that thing would have rebounded and taken straight the whole rear of his car off ! (maybe it did, never saw the back of his car as he never caught me :2:)

When I have LOTS of time, I'll tell once how I lived for 4 years in the UK with a warrant for my arrest on my head after being done for dangerous driving... Image

The scary thing: During that period, I went more than 200 times in and out of the country via Heathrow (2 rtn flights per week, security, :blahblah: :blahblah:) and they never stopped me ! :shake:

(Got away without penalty after going 14 times to court :) )
