Immobiliser fault ???

Postby Wr1darcy » Wed Jul 01, 2015 4:14 pm

Fob won't do anything! I replaced the fob battery and still no joy!
I assume there's enough main car battery as the head unit and all other display lights up fine, as we'll as the central locking using the key manually ??
Any help would be appreciated

You will need to re-program the keys again. Looks like the fob has lost memory?

Did the fob work before the battery change?

Check your alarm manual that should have come with the car.

I replaced key fob bat, in both keys as one was completely dead, and for peace of mind on the other!
As I never use my car, I've had the charge the main battery a few times in the past! Which is why I'm not sure!
I can hear the fuel pump prime! So surely there's enough power to disable imobiliser!
