Neutral position faulty switch?

After being on the rolling road, was told the neutral switch was faulty,
Has any one else had this problem ? And where is it located ? Any advice would be marvellous

It's quite a common thing to wear out. I've not had to do mine but what i gather from reading about folk needing to replace it is that its a plastic piece (thats why it wears out) situated on the top of the gearbox, it has to be replaced from under the car and can be akward to reach. The likes of Alyn (ASP) has the knowledge and will be able to give you the full answer and how to replace it.

Unfortunately I couldn't tell you because it was done a few weeks before I brought my car! Have receipt from Autotecnica that it was done

To be honest I wouldn't have known it was at fault, I've read it can effect performance, boost problems etc.
But advised it needs replacing. So will do for peace of mind

apparently restricts boost as it thinks car is in neutral.
most people dont know its doing it till getting map done from what i heard.
