Your Experiences With Garages / Specialists Past and Present

Postby Gary75 » Wed Feb 13, 2013 10:12 am

1. Chemix Autocentre in Halesowen. Excellent service and value for tyres and exhausts.

2. Midland Car Tech in Blackheath. I have used this garage for years for MOT, they also do service and repairs, great bunch of lads.

3. All Saints Vauxhall in Bromsgrove. Excellent service and good value for a dealership!

4. Central Subaru in Willenhall. Have used once on recommendation to change brake fluid, good service, friendly and knowledegable, although the brake nipples starting weeping after service? I didnt go back, as i purchased new nipples from Alyn, Asperformance. Completed the job myself.

5. Asperformance. Excellent service, very willing to help, very knowledgeable, good price and recommendation on current parts to use.

6. RCM in Hinkley Leicester. Have used once on recommendation, failed to set up geometry correctly. Excellent workshop and premises.

7. Powerstaion in Tewkesbury. Have used once on recommendation, for a second opinion with regards to geometry set up, left no stone unturned, i had a fault they fixed it, very knowledgeable and friendly.

8. Jacksons Ford in Henley-in-Arden. If you have a problem with wheel balancing? They have the Hunter road force GSP9700 wheel balancing machine. See this link to give you an idea.... http://www.gsp9700.com/index.htm They also do servicing, wheel alignment etc, not just for Fords. The workshop shop is something special very modern and upto date. Dan Jackson is the man, i do beleive his brother which i met on reception is into saloon car racing.

9. Charlie Browns in Northfiled. What a bunch of wankers they were :tosser:

10. Kwik Fit in Rubery. Cross threaded a couple of wheel nuts on my corolla GTI using an airgun, i used a couple of times before that, but never will my wheels touch their premises again or any other Kwik Fit centre saying that :tosser:

11. Xtreme UK in Stourbridge. Excellent service, very willing to help, nice service bay and premises, friendly staff.

Hope this helps :thumb:

I have used RCM on many occasions since 2006 on both my Subarus and have had excellent service, in fact extra to what I asked for at no charge. I have never had reason to take the car back after a service or any mods added. They listen and advise accordingly. Customer service is offered by all the team at RCM, but the best bit is..............if you get out of your depth they dont take advantage. RCM may not be the cheapest, but I have a motto, buy cheap... buy twice. :D

Nice thread Gary, hopefully people will get in a post some opinions.
I have used RCM before and it was excellent service and more than likely this is where I will be getting some tuning and my next service done.
Scoobyclinic were far from great and I wouldn't recomend or use them ever again :tosser:
Abp up in Crewe gave me a great fast road set up, very friendly great price, will be taking the 1 up there next month hopefully.
I had my car from Xtreme Gary and I also can only say good things about them, very helpfull.
