how too value a wr1

i am having a spot off bother some twat crashed into my wr1 insurance saying total loss cat d offering 7k that carnt be right how can i value my car was very good condition 77k :(

I think they are offering trade value for the car, not the purchase price from a dealer or private sale. Tell the insurance company to go and buy you another WR1 with what they are offering and to contact you when they have found one :thumb:

Dont forget these are limited numbers, can only go up in value or stay at one price for a time...

If they cant find one for less than 9.5k then theres your answer :thumb:

04/53 retail £9125 trade in £7350 67000 miles
04 " £9575 " £7800 66000 miles

defo a min of 8 on a PX, but you couldn't find one for that to buy so i'd say 9 to 10 k from insurers

I'd agree with that estimate. In the current market you would pay £8.5-9k for one with that kind of mileage.

Insurers always pay out rock bottom "book" value rather than reality. You can sometimes negotiate a little leeway but not normally much. Id expect 8k from an insurer if they were going for 9-10k.
