yep, driven there a few times...

depends what you want out of your road trip really...

right now it will be going into Spring, so roads are likely to be still covered in crap from all the melted snow and small stones they spray everywhere instead of salt. Plus they won't of changed onto summer tyres yet either.

Your best bet is going into the far north for the spectacular scenery (apart from central Oslo that is...) but you will have to wait until mid summer for that...then you get eaten alive by mossie's. However you have great food, walking treks, bike routes and the 24hr daylight!!

If you go right around the top, then you can drop down into Finland on your way home, and join me for the WRC here at the start of August.

Would love that Caveman, apparently it's impossible to sail from the UK to Norway.

How well does a WR1 float? :D

Really? Not even via a frieghter?

You can always go to Denmark first..then drive up over the bridge into Sweden and back across to Norway. Not that far to go once you are near Copenhagen.

Or take the long route and do it via the Chunnel.

I did Stockholm to Reading in about 18 hours, cost me a bloody fortune in fuel, but was a good giggle...plus on th eway back I did a slight detour to the Ring.

Only route I can find is the one to Esbjerg, Denmark.

Would be a good 2 days to get up into the middle of Norway from there though...but a nice hotel stopover in Oslo would be within easy reach.

you'll be close to that just in juice though! But I was sick as a dog all night on my first crossing (cue abuse from all the offshore workers!), so have done the chunnel route everytime since. A bit boring at times, but soooo good to go by all the germans limited to 155!

Is the Evo still up here? Parked in Oulu? He popped in with his Mrs on the way up, lovely motor, shame its not used and abused like its made for.
