Wouldnt have an Aston after the DB7 Steve had didnt appeal much. Look great, sounded awesome, handled about the same as a Jag, was very heavy and sluggish, not very sporty and had the same key entry system as my old ford escort. Had power once it got going so a fast cruiser not a sporty car like a hot hatch or scooby

other than that, theyre great :)

He'd need a cushion to sit on to see over the steering wheel.

Their build quality is shocking for such a prestige car and their paintwork comes in shocking condition from day 1 - there's 2 reasons

Reasons against: Underpowered (although there is an aftermarket supercharger conversion), Volvo & Ford bits, Premiership footballers, not a 911, a GTR can be had for 35k

Reasons for: The third best looking car in the world, after the V12 Vantage and DBS Volante!

I wouldn't turn one down to be honest, but if it was my £35k I'd be looking for a GTR

Interesting comments there Steve. The only thing I would say against the GTR is servicing costs are crazy. Not sure if the same is true of the Volvo?

Dunno, my dad had a volvo and that wasn't too bad. Still, it didn't have a v8 and it looked more like an estate than a little 2 door coupe. Think it had the same wing mirrors tho

I still maintain if it was me I would sell my left testicle (and possibly the right one too. I'd have no balls but I'd have a GTR) for a GTR. Love 'em.

The loss of one's gonads does sound rather severe even when cars are concerned. But then again the more I think about- no gonads = no kids = not buying a new pair of shoes every two weeks (I might have got the wife and kids mixed up there  ) = wealth beyond your wildest dreams to spend on petrol and servicing......

.... you could be on to something Stevek!

Crock.

Thinking about it I'd have to get permission off the wife to sell my gentleman's potatoes, and that would never happen because she wants half a dozen kids.

There's always the Euromillions I suppose...

Apparently a full aston service history is essential with these cars and as such you have to get it serviced at the right place to get the relevant stamp. Steve's service costs were very high but he paid it just to get the stamp in th book. He didnt do too many miles in his so it only had around 2 services whilst he owned it as far as i remember.
