How to show photos in your forum posts using Photobucket

Postby Megaman » Thu Feb 16, 2012 12:20 pm

Sign up for a new account at http://www.photobucket.com.

Logon to photobucket.com

Towards the bottom right you will see "Sub-Albums" and then to the right of this "Create New Album". Click the Create new album link.

Give the new album a name e.g. WR1 Pics
Ensure Album Privacy is set to Public

Once created you should see your new album on the right under Sub-Albums.
Click on it here to open it.

Now click the green Upload button on the top blue nav bar.

Ensure "Upload To" shows your new album name and then click the green button "Select Photos and Videos"

Browse your PC and find the pics to upload

Once the upload process is complete and you have filled in any decriptions you want you can save and then go back to view all your albums via the starting page. So on the right under Sub-Albums click your new album e.g. WR1 Pics

At the top of the page click "View All"

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the checkbox "Select All / Unselect All" - ensure it is ticked.

Once they have all been ticked or you have manually selected the pics you want to show, at the bottom of the page again click "Choose
Action"

Choose "Generate Link Codes For Selected"

Generate Link Codes page pops up now. Middle bit will say:
IMG for bulletin boards & forums

Decide if you want thumbnails or full screen pics and then click in the relevant box. It will change colour briefly and flash up "Copied"

So now you have copied the relevant code required to display the pics in your forum post. Now logon to WR1oc, create a new post, write some text then below the text right click and choose "Paste".

Something like this will be shown:
[ IMG]http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/123/username/9381af9b.jpg[/IMG]
[ IMG]http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/123/username/9381af9c.jpg[/IMG]

Click Preview to ensure the pics appear in your preview of the post and if all looks okay click Submit.

Easy as that :)
