Is swearing in the office an effective means of clearly communicating or is it a sign of articulation issues?
A good friend of mine has recently picked up the title "potty mouth". His language doesn't bother me but I've wondered if it is the norm in other working environments?

Swearing in the office could be considered slanderous depending on the context

we have an alternative which can amuse visitors......
e.g
a "C*nt" is a "Canadian"
and a "Fu***ng C*nt" is a "French Canadian"
seems to work well !!
Regards and be lucky !

I work in Stoke-on-Trent, where people ONLY talk in swear words.

I work in a prison and they all communicate by swear words, some of the worst I've heard....................the prisoners though are quite articulate in comparison.
