In Car Camera

Postby SteveS » Sat Aug 20, 2011 4:04 pm

Can anyone suggest a good quality in car video camera to record trips and trackdays? Got about £300 to spend on this. Would like zoom capability and maybe low light/ night IR if possible. Cheers all :)

John Mc Tiddler (Dogging Expert) should be able to help.

If not pm me your email address and I will contact someone I know who sells them.

"Go Pro HD" mate. Under £300 and you won't find better quality for the money, it is full HD quality. If you get the "motorsport" pack you'll get the mounts you need. It also comes with waterproof housing to use underwater if you want.

This link is just an example, shop around as I got mine for £265 i think...

I bought a DVD quality bullet cam last year with a solid state recorder and it was around £400... the GoPro HD is so much better.

I would put a clip up here but the copyright is with Mega... and I'm not sure my PI covers claims for libellous material

I use Power Director 9 for editing, it is a superb bit of software and you can do some powerful editing with it, including picture in picture.

I used 2 cameras when I went out in Mega's scooby and had one camera on the speedo and one on the road so when I edited it you could see the speed he was going in the corner of the screen
