Postby adecollett » Thu Jul 21, 2011 6:06 pm

Hi me again, got a chance of 57k, 2 owner, that sounds truely unmarked. its on Pheads. I got cash figure, wont say, but its due a minor service. first owner had it until 53k, all main dealer history. good tyres etc. how much, if i'm aloud to ask and do tell me shut up, but what do ya reckon.
Another quicky, how much for a set of standard, disks n pads. Cheers guys. :?:

Not sure on price for car but for brakes DON'T go to a subaru dealership they're prices are crazy! Give Alyn @ ASP a call you'll find his details in the traders section on here, he stocks something for all needs and budgets inc brembo and other makes.

From the photos it certainly looks good.

How the original paintwork on a car like this can be free of stone chips or any scratches after 7 years and 57k is beyond me! Similarly the wheel finish was notorious for bubbling after a few years due to the way they were manufactured rather than any abuse as such.

Setting these issues aside, if the car is completely genuine and as good as it looks in the photos its priced pretty reasonably. I would have said if you could get it for between £10250 and 10500 you got a good car for the right money if it all checks out.

On mine i went for brembo sport grooved front and back with performance friction pads all round and braided hoses set me back just over £800 for them but well worth it as the car stops very well now compared to the standard discs and pads that were on it, as for servicing the 55,000 miles one is a small service i think as 50,000 or 60 months is cambelt change but worth ringing around to find out prices

I found I could do 3 laps to a tank of fuel at the ring so that would be 2 and a bit tanks of fuel. It gets incredibly addictive after the second lap once you learn the track a bit better.
