Postby adecollett » Tue Jul 19, 2011 8:00 am

Hi guys. Looking at number 64, she got 22000 miles on the clock, with full subaru service history,8 stamps, and they are asking 13k for it. It looks like its been really well looked after, only thing puttin me off, are its 4 previous owners! So what do the people in the now reckon. cheers guys.

4 owners is alot for only 22000 miles :? , is it a private sale ??
some people underestimate the running costs
if its from a dealer you should get warranty anyway

Some if not most people have these as a toy or second car so high turn over of ownership ie; Get bored change it for the next toy! So i wouldnt worry to much. Maybe try to trace the owners and phone them. But if you have found one with genuine low miles like that its a great buy. But give it a really good check....HPI etc, and look at mots for the mileage. Mine has had 4 owners but i bought it twice!! Ha! From new then traced her and bought it back! Goodluck

Hi, thanks for checking that for me. I know 2 of the owners were from same family, and the dealers said the previous owner used it as show car-but words are cheap! Its got every mot and all bills. So you wouldnt be put off by it having 4 owners. Thanks again.

Sounds good from info found on here dont let the people at churches drown you I'n horse shit like they tried doing to me... I went and looked at one before buying the current one..it was definetly not as straight as they tried to convince me, and everything I pointed out they had an answer for!(having been a mechanic for years it stood out like a sore thumb)!! Nice lads but lacking on the Subaru knowledge front!!!! Oh and there's a lovely rb320 there at the mo

Hi, saw the rb320, just always prefered shape n colour of WR1. I'm lacking of knowledge too, but pretty tight when it comes to giving over the bucks. Thought I might get RAC to give it a check, see what they say. If at all dodge i'm willing to wait for a low mile, and low amount of owners, clean one. Cheers again, any advise well welcome.

Sorry didn't mean it like that... Wr1 all the way fella rated over the rb for performance anyways... And definetly better colour your rite!! I'd take Rac if your unsure always a good bet for second opinion!! Bear In mind thou the impreza I'n general I's quit a specialist car so.. Your own research( throu the likes of here)could prove very helpfull aswell!! Not that they really suffer from much apart from rear shocks... Odd keyring missing etc... Happy hunting mate :D

Cheers for that. Phoned to do deal today, but waited day too long. They got a chap, who put a retainer on it, going to see them on Friday. He's got a Merc E55 to p/x, they going to let me know if the deal gets done, fingers crossed. Do good ones come up very often, or are they like rocking horse s..t?

I waited nearly a year to get mine totally standard... Wasn't looking for mega low millege as they all seemed to be fetching alot more money.... Know recently there's been a few with sub 40,000 miles on them, which I consider to be low! just popping out the wood work so I'd hang on and have a good hunt around :-)
