Anyone knows why the car is so cheap for his mileage of 32k

http://www.baileysolihull.co.uk/used-cars/subaru-impreza-2-0-wr1-sti-4dr-solihull-201108380660713

the seller wrote thats HPI "D" marked for vandalism without Body or Daschbord damage.

If anyone knows something, please wrote ;)

thx a lot

Maik

Panel damage due to vandalism. Not sure the extent as no pictures have surfaced on the damage before it was fixed.

Worth a punt at £9k.

Think a couple of people went to see it on here, Think they said the cars well dodgy,

How do you know it was vandalism? Could have been in a serious smash

Personally I wouldnt touch it its not cheap enough. Not when people are struggling to sell very clean oc club examples for 10/11k mark. Put another grand in and dont take the risk. Just my opinion.

Cozzy 481 is spot on. Cat D's can be a real buggar to sell on afterwards and it's still £1-1.5k too dear for a Cat D (assuming of course it was vandalism). The other question is always how do you know it was repaired to a high standard- is it still under garage warranty- if rust bubbles through after you buy it or the paint fades badly its going to be your problem.

Having re-read the advert it claims there was no panel damage. Why has it been recorded then? I thought a Cat D occurred when the damage exceeded 60% of the value of the car. That would have meant £6-7k worth of damage- stolen recovered is Cat D as well. One last thing to remember is that some insurers won't provide cover on a Cat D.

Yes keep an eye open on here, this is where you will be most likely to find one with a history that is able to be checked and where you are most likely to find a decent honest car.
It's a long way to come and a lot of expense to risk on a private sale in a dodgy add.

Will you not have to pay import tax on the vehicle if you haven't owned it for a period of time? Not sure of the EU rules on this now....
