How wrong is this?

Yesterday we were out working, stuck in a queue of traffic outside a school. Two cars in front of our van, a massive tractor tried to squeeze through a gap and basically opened the side of a Fiat up. He tore a hole down the door and wing ,ripped the bumper off and carried on his merry way. We got his registration, as did 4 other people, and when we got back to the scene and the lady (in tears) who owned the car, left the guy's reg and my details.

Later on, I got a phone call from the lady to tell me that the five-o had caught the tractor driver (good) but as they couldn't find any evidence of damage to his gigantic John Deere and trailer, it was out of their hands (bad). 5 people in total saw it happen, and they won't do a thing about it.

Fuppin' backstards!

yeah most of the time they leave it up to the insurance to sort, if she has witnesses then it should be a failry clear result in claiming off the tractor guy.

Thing if you would have thought that 'failing to stop at the scene of an accident' would have prompted Police action??? surely

Some Police Officers today can be so lazy when it comes to the law, little piddly crimes like that seem to be dismissed and they dont appear to be interested in anymore.

Guess the paperwork woudl have been too much so such small crime

Shocking really!!
