Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place but I just want to make owners and future owners aware of. Firstly this is the advert,
SUBARU IMPREZA WR1

NUM 56 OUT 500

HAS THE PRO DRIVE CERTIFICATE

RAC TRACKER

LIMITED EDITION

12 MONTHS MOT 6 MONTHS TAX

33K MILES

SERVICED AT 30K

FULL SUBARU SERVICE HISTORY

HPI CLEAR

8 POT CALIPERS

XNEON LIGHTS

WR1ORIGNAL MATS AND TAX DISK HOLDER

ONE OF THE BEST EXAMPLES AROUND AND HAS BEEN WELL LOOKED AFTER

ANY QUESTIONS EMAIL ME

I spent over 10 hours travelling and £140 on train fares and to be honest it was awful. first impression it was a clear example but all 4 tyres were odd and needed replacing(was told loads left on them), 1 wheel had been refurbed by subaru but was different colour, it had AP's up front but needed new disc's and pads, the best bit was the service! "Full subaru service history" as the advert says and e-mail's and phone call's, it was full subaru history up until 2008 then........................ blank  I said has this not been serviced since 2008? the reply

wait for it......

its only done 33k the next service is at 36k(last service in book was 30k)
I gave up trying to explain miles or time which ever first and then he said it's had a oil change just not at subaru as they are expensive!!!
I had to walk away, I was gutted, it looked and sounded good but I'm glad now and I just want others to know.
When I got home I looked at the ad again and just laughed...

Inconvenient to say the least, still say you should buy from owners on a site like this (or eqivalent) where people know what history the car has.

It isn't a new car, they are expensive to run and if you don't look after them properly they will develop faults that can be expensive to repair. You might save £1k on a cheaper car with uncertain history but it may well cost you a lot more than this to fix if you buy a pig!

Good luck hunting pal. Have you tried any of the ones for sale on here out of interest?

Yep totally agree with you, I made it quite clear to him that I wanted to be 100% with what he had written and said. That's all you can go by 300 miles away.
As for finding 1 on here, Saturday 26th I might have 1 ;-)

It appears that someone had been to look at this car before you did and then posted a warning on here.
