Thats was mine !

As some of you knew she blew up thanks to a area52 hash-up forged 2.5 about 18 months ago. So car was on the way to being mapped again after fuel injectors were the issue last week, and yesterday the fuel pump failed, so will be another week or so before I get it back. So more expense

Was going to be a 2.33 stroker running around 600bhp, but with the way work is and the price being £10k  more than the original price ....it just aint worth it !
So returned to a 2.0 but jdm, tuner tells me it's a spec c engine different water pump apparently than a jdm :? !

jesus christ...so basically a bunch of muppets build you a crap engine, and now you have had to plonk a spec C in there instead?

Probably be able to use the turbo and ancillaries from your built unit to get a fair bit of grunt back...i know a few rally boys pushing some good numbers on stock spec c units without any issues.

sorry to hear that mate...the spec you had was crackin...how can anybody F*ck up building an engine given they have new parts to play with?

Too true !
Basically long story short had a AREA 52 2.5 forged with a fp green hta which was quoted around 500, got 460 but there was det, so mapper knocked it back a bit to be safe, following day a high boost fuel hose split at around 130mph at Bruntingthorpe charity day   So no comeback on AREA52, even tho they fitted the hose!
So RCM done a leakage test 90,60,45,40% across all 4 !!!
So CPA collected and did a strip down, discovering bolts missing from the block, never fitted being a new block there would have been scars where tightened I have pics too prove, oval bores liners dropped and generally so many corners cut.. endless !
Not to mention my local spanner boy finding 3 bolts holding gearbox in place and loose aswell along with fingertight spark plugswhile doing service and mot !

So CPA have had the car for 18 months was going to be a bit of a monster, but decided against in the end. So now have a jdm/spec c 2.0 fitted with a recon RCM400 turbo, already had all the major bolt on parts so should be good for a bit above 400.

So if you now anyone who wants a 2.2 CDB which are rare as rocking horse shit and a fp green hta turbo !

So how long before you have a working car imposter?

Are CPA slow for some reason as rocko and you that seem to have a permanent parking space down there??

Sounds like they know what they are doing if they found all those issues tho...

This week, I was home most of last week but injectors, fuel pump so could have collected, but work picked up so must have dosh before car, so hoping to find time this week to collect, before I go on holiday !

Let just say there thorough !

Ours was in no rush....
Think Rocko had a few delays due to fabrication on certain parts.

yeah good luck....by the sounds of things you have done well to escape with little damage considering the other bits that they have messed up. It could of really gone BANG

At least this way you can use most of the other parts you have bought...

defo interested in the 2.2, but need to pay off a heft tax bill first..so unless you can wait a few months then don't hesitate to get rid if you have anohter offer.

the FPG turbo can be put in the bin though mate....heard too many horror stories of those.

The bitch is back !

All went well, pulls well seeing as it only boosting at 0.9bar...

CPA did'nt change the fuel pump because fuelsender needs to be renewed after Spencer said it's been hash by area52  so need to do both and then remap, but will do a few miles to see if engine is ok.
