Hey,

I had a fantastic day. A real big thanks to guys that organised the event. Great to put some names to faces too. I'll try and post a couple of pics early next week. Sadly, the only vid I got was on a rubbish lap where a minibus / white van cut across me on the straight, right to left. Loving my 1, and fondness for life in general, I decided to back off.

Can someone let me know what happened to the dark blue type 22 scooby? I saw you got it started and pulled off ... What happened?

For the record in my unmod'd 1, I managed 135mph according to the needle.

Again, thanks for organisation - oli4uk.

Hi it was a top day i went in the white mk2 escort on the rally curcuit it was an ex rally car and the driver was mad he drifted around the hole track and was trying so hard he lost it on one long corner so he turned it into a smoking donut  i just managed to hit 140 on the staight and was well chuft when i over took the red ferrari twice my passengers were shocked to see that although the shacane did get faster and faster for me

And from me, a big thanks to Rosy and Chris for yet again organising another great day. Not had any feedback from the staff at work but thanks to the WR1’s that took some of them out.

if it was me it could have been a couple of turfs  no damage though,if it was t5 tony it could ve been a ferrari
it is better to have had a wr1 and lost it than never to have one at all.

Yer looked more like under tray than some turf.

My passenger at the time watched Simon limp off and said I thought these were well built... I said they are great cars but last year my wheel came off on the second corner. As i finished the sentence it was my go to boot it - never seen anyone hold on as tight or look as worried lol - was only a wind up after all...

I had to laugh when Roger pushed a young lad towards your car, who said "but its a girl"... had to chuckle when you saw the beaming grin when he got out :)
