Algeria are mince so unfortunately I think they will win convincingly and the media will go into overdrive, claiming them all to be messiahs and looking at who they will play in the final etc :x ......I would love to be wrong though!

The difference is we go to these tournaments (very occasionally  ) With a realistic view that we probably wont get any further but we will have a good time and as usual snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
The English go into these things as though they have already got it in the bag and treat everyone else with contempt. The commentators are unbelievably biased and annoy with the England expects before every game and the constant 66 references. Not everybody that pays there licence fee is English or want England to win!
Were shite but we know it. The media have got you lot into a frenzy thinking you have a team of world beaters. There was always going to be tears before bedtime
Having said that I still think England will go through to the next round.

... it is mainly the English media (loose reference to media) who try to "big" england up and talk absolute SHIT before, during and after each game. The fans know we play shit (for the players on paper) but manage to get through each year, somehow...

We have a team that consists of players who regularly have played champions league quarter/semi/ and even finals, in qualifying walked it...

Yet last night was feckin unbelivable, never seen such a inept performance by all, thought I was watching Scotland  .... never seen Rooney play so poorly and his rant at the end just summed the performance up !

But I still think England will win it !

The thing with England is they have some world class players but when you put them together they don't make a world class team :? They never seem to gel as a team, maybe its a case of to many over inflated ego's on the pitch???

With Scotland its the other way round we don't have the world class players but what players we do have gel as a team & have a good fight in them with a "Get it up them" attitude 8) Just don't tell us we're favourites to win a match as thats when we're shite & what makes us miss out on qualifiying

Its not an excuse John its true
When we're the underdogs against the good teams we have the fight in us, when we are favourites against smaller teams we go to pot & play shite

we were appauling by anyones standards.

we could blame Capello for the squad he put out because that is not the

England top 11 but even with the 11 we had out were well capable of beating

Algeria. So shame on you England.

As for Slovenia well were British so we"ve probably done it the hard way by playing crap against the crap teams & end up thrashing the group league leaders! (i hope)

come on England sort it out you are capable.

I'm a bit disappointed by the English team, I must say.

When I read the press reviews before the world cup and I heard all the people around me, I thought they'd win the tournament hands down. :?
