I survived the Ring

Postby swrtno1 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 7:33 pm

Hi guys was at the ring at the wkend, me and the car both survived! :D

This was my 1st time on a track wit the 1 and to be honest I was shitting my pants! Was stood at the entrance to the track watching car after car going onto the track and was thinking OMG the track is going to be so busy!

After about 20mins of standing watching and absolutely crapping it, jumped in the car and headed for the track entrance!

What a buzz going round the green hell!!!

Already planning on going bk! :norty:

Here is a link to some pics of my car in action on the ring.

a few of us from work are planning to go next year, hire the cars from one of the companies there for the ring, 750 euros for a clio cup and 1000 for a megane r26r per day. thats lap tickets, fuel but still a big execss in insurance, still looking into it.
i was/am planning to get a rb320 in the next couple of weeks and maybe have a wee drive around europe. just dont know if the wee fella will want to spend all that time in the car. stirling to newcastle to amsterdam in ferry then down to nurburgring then across to disneyland paris for a couple of days then up to calais then a couple of theme parks on the way up. staying various places i make it 8 days and around 1200 miles with only 2-3 hours driving a day although i am sure it might take 10 days with detours though  .
Gracing the drive.....BMW M3 E92 with all the toys!/Integra DC5/ Integra DC2 race car/BMW X5
gone...Impreza RB320 No 112
gone...Impreza WR1 No 84
gone...Civic Type R EP3
gone...Seat Leon Cupra 225
