Kev,

This question has cropped up a few times over the years. Whilst it is called Pewter, the bottom line is that even Prodrive can't tell us the codes in light of the way they are painted!

This thread might help further:

I found the colour code to my anthracite ones by calling speedline direct - Bloke told me the code it over the phone.

Turns out it was Lamborghini Medium Grey with a paint code of 226618 - I have the formulation for it if anyone needs it.

When you call them (+44 (0)1952 582825) and they give you the paint code, it will be a PPG paint code.

When they give you the paint code it will be something like "xxx.xxx" (the x's will be number's) nobody can match these codes - however, by taking the " . " out of the middle they can find it on their system.

You then need to contact PPG - who are a night mare to get hold of and get the right department. However, I managed to speak to a nice lady called Janie Bays (jbays@ppg.com) who emailed me the formulation which you can take to your local spray shop!

This whole process was was carried out over about two weeks and was a proper headache, although, with the info above, I imagine you should have your paint formulation after a couple of phone calls!

Please let me know how you get on!

Would it not be just as easy to ask the guy who's doing the wheels to colour match them?

They have hand held devices that colour matches the paint code...

Silver is better looking anyway imo,

No - I did ask about three companies, all said they couldn't guarantee a perfect match but could blend it in.

I'd rather get the exact colour and have that blended in.

The darker anthracite wheels suite the WR1 better imo
